Chalet Hunnenfluh is an idyllic Alpine retreat! The stylish 2nd-floor Wengen apartment with 2 bedrooms, 1-bathroom and 4 balconies has some of the best views in Wengen! Far from the hustle and bustle of the busy village center of Wengen, the walk is rewarded with a truly unique experience with undoubtedly one of the most stunning views of the Lauterbrunnen valley, Jungfraujoch and surrounding mountains. Here you can enjoy nature and relax without disturbance.
The quiet, rural location in the Ledi area of Wengen is 1.7km from the Wengen train station. Wengen is a car free village accessible by train from Lauterbrunnen. Taxis are available in Wengen to help with luggage. The Chalet was originally built around the 1900s as a hotel and is a treasured and protected specimen of the Belle Epoque era and the early tourism in Wengen.
The semi open plan living-dining-kitchen has four distinct spaces. The living area is full of character with stunning views of the Jungfrau to the South, a Swedish wood burner and exposed beams. The dining area features exposed beams and with access to one of the two south facing balconies is a unique and charming space to enjoy family meals with a stunning mountain backdrop. An additional west-facing seating space with panoramic windows on three sides is truly mesmerizing and offers a superb vantage point to soak up the sun, nature and the mountain views. The kitchen area towards the back of the apartment has a separate balcony and is well equipped for a self-catering holiday.
The master bedroom with south facing balcony has a kingsize double bed (180x200cm) and the second bedroom at the back of the apartment has a bunk bed (2x 90x200cm), a desk and a sofa. A family bathroom with bathtub, shower cubicle, two sinks and WC serves both bedrooms. The apartment also has a laundry cupboard with washing machine and dryer.

The depot is located adjacent to the Männlichen cable car within the shop and offers places for more than 1,000 skis, boards and boots. This was the most incredible stay we have ever had. We wanted a place that would just immerse us in nature and it truly was everything we could've hoped for and MORE. The tap water was incredibly fresh, the birds and crickets charge the atmosphere and the indoor fireplace is perfect with the cool Swiss weather (even in the middle of summer). If you understand going into it that there is a bit of a walk from the train station in the main town of Wengen to this air b and b than you should be all good. However you can also just use the taxi service. We totally enjoyed the walk though, it was charming, especially if the cows are out. Just buy a lot of food and snacks from town and enjoy them at the air b and b because shops close pretty early. You will understand that this is a very magical place. Book it!

The view is nothing short of breathtaking, from every window of the house. The apartment is bright and spacious, well equipped, spotless and tidy. The view of the Jungfrau in all its beauty makes this accommodation truly unique. Rachel was punctual and quick in communications, providing us with perfect assistance. Highly recommended.

Don't let the walk from town scare you, it's beautiful and the view from the chalet simply can't be described. Check-in and communication were very easy, and Rachel was just great to work with. We took a taxi from the train station with our luggage, see more

They provided a taxi to the airbnb so getting there with bags was a breeze. It's a 20 minute walk from the centre of town but worth being away from the people and closer to nature. The location is great as this side of Wengen has the best views of thsee more

The location is great as this side of Wengen has the best views of the valley in my opinion - you can see the Jungfrau from every window and beautiful views into the Lauterbrunnen valley. The location is exactly as described and the photos are accurate. Definitely would recommend this place and look forward to coming back.
