Wengen is a car free village and is accessible by train from Lauterbrunnen.
Enter the apartment and head straight up the stairs and you’ll find yourself in an opulent living-dining-kitchen oozing in chalet charm. With a fabulous woodburning fireplace, sofa, 2 arm chairs and access out on to the west-facing balcony, it’s just delightful. The adjacent and stylish kitchen is perfect for entertaining and has everything you need to rustle up family meals to enjoy at the spacious dining table.
There are three gorgeous bedrooms each with their own bathrooms. The master bedroom is impressive with a comfy lavish super king-size bed, beamed ceiling, wooden floor, antique furnishings as well as direct access onto a private west facing balcony. It boasts an equally impressive bathroom featuring tub and walk-in shower. The second bedroom also on the entrance level is beautifully decorated and furnished with a double bed and ensuite shower room. The third bedroom on the upper level has twin beds and is served by it’s own shower room.
Furthermore guests have shared access to the washing machine and dryer located in the cellar, as well as ski and boot storage at the chalet.

The three rooms have a bathroom each, which is definitely a plus if more than one family is travelling together. The managers of the property are extremely nice and efficient. We had a great time in Wengen!

Rachel was helpful with check-in and quickly responded to messages and fixed a burnt-out light bulb. I would highly recommend familiesgroups staying here. If you stay in Wengen, specifically ask about the trash/recycling and how to acquire bags.

The chalet was very quiet, had 2 amazing decks looking at the mountains and a very nice kitchen and dining area. Two bedrooms have bathrooms that are inside the bedroom and the bedroom with 2 twin beds has a bathroom right outside of the bedroom. Thesee more
The chalet was very quiet, had 2 amazing decks looking at the mountains and a very nice kitchen and dining area. Two bedrooms have bathrooms that are inside the bedroom and the bedroom with 2 twin beds has a bathroom right outside of the bedroom. The mattresses were very supportive, firm and comfortable! The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals and plates/service for more than 6 people. It only lacks a blenderimmersion blender if you need that to make protein smoothies. The walk to the train and town center is only 10 minutes and is lovely where you walk on a gravelpaved road and hear the cows and sheep bells softly in the distance. There are 2 roads that take you from the town center to the Luna Chalet and one is steeper while the other is on a longer gradual grade. If you feel that walking on an incline for .7 miles from the train station to Chalet Luna with luggage is not what you want to do on arrival, you can take a taxi. We took a taxi with luggage to the train station at 6:30am on the day we left and it was great. As for the location, it is perfect! There are several "town" hikes that you can take from the Chalet, some with a slight incline and some steeper. The information office in Wengen is excellent, and there are several cable car options in and very close to Wengen. We loved being here and would definitely love to stay here again!

Chalet Luna is in a splendid location, ideal for every age group, perfect at any time of year (ski-in, ski-out, being an especially attractive feature!) and in any weather! Needless to say, the views are stunning! We highly recommend Chalet Luna and look forward to returning as often as possible!

The stay at Luna Chalet made us fall in love with Swiss Alps and Wengen. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Very comfortable living with good amenities to make you feel like home. Highly recommend if you are looking for a chalet stay to experiensee more

We have been several times now both with the children and without and the Chalet lends itself beautifully for a family holiday, the gallery a perfect place for the children to play and chill, but also as a sophisticated grown up environment with all the facilities that one could possibly need and want. We have now been in the Summer and the Winter and have appreciated the convenience of being able to walk to Wengen Central within minutesski straight to the chalet after a wonderful day on the piste. The balcony is the perfect place to bring in the evenings regardless of the weather!
The Chalet was very clean on arrival and the Management Company (Rachel) friendly and very efficient. We highly recommend this Chalet and look forward to coming back again and again! |
