This spacious maisonette apartment at Racers Retreat Chalet 3 is on three levels and located in the beautiful area of Innerwengen-Schiltwald part of the world famous car-limited mountain village of Wengen. The chalet is located a scenic 15-20 minute walk from the Wengen train station. (1.3 kilometers) or a 5 minute (350m) walk from the Innerwengen chair lift and finish line of the famous Lauberhorn World-Cup Ski races.
This Wengen Chalet with it’s own private entrance has 3 bedrooms including loft bedroom, 2 bathrooms (both en-suite) and a downstairs WC.
The stylish open-plan kitchen dining living space with wooden beams and Scandinavian wood burner, give the property a classic modern Alpine chalet-style feel. The glazed floor-to-ceiling doors offer superb views of the mountains and open out onto the west-facing balcony space which is perfect for outside dining.
The kitchen is well equipped for “home” cooking and entertaining. It includes an electric ceramic hob, fan-assisted oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, fondue Chinoise, cheese fondue and raclette grill.
There are two bedrooms on the first floor. The spacious master bedroom features a king-size double bed (180x200cm) and has an en-suite bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The second Bedroom features two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The third bedroom is on the second floor in the loft room (low ceiling) accessed by a wooden ladder and has two single beds. There is also a separate WC on the main living level just off the entrance hallway.
The washing machine and tumble dryer are on the lower ground level and are shared with one other apartment.
• Complimentary use of the Central Sport ski, board and boot depot. The depot is located adjacent to the Männlichen cable car within the shop and offers places for more than 1,000 skis, boards and boots. The depot is supervised and is open at the same time as the shop. Every depot space is numbered and a boot drying system is installed.

We were a group of six people. The accommodation was spotlessly clean had all the amenities necessary for self-catering. The washing machine/dryer was a great addition.

Four of us were skiing on this trip, the Innerwengen ski lift is a short walk away and you can easily ski to Wengen or get a train to nearby ski areas from the top of this lift. For non-skiers, the village of Wengen is easy to walk to. As well as lovely accommodation and good proximity to the slopes, I cannot recommend Alpine holiday services enough for their great customer service. On the day we arrived, Mandy welcomed us warmly and gave us great information as well as discounts for ski rental. When we had picked up our gear and done a food shop, we were transferred to the accommodation. For each day of the trip, we were entitled to one transfer in and one transfer out of the village. Each time we availed of this, the drivers were so friendly and good humoured. From start to finish, we really enjoyed our trip and were so pleased with the great service we received. |
